UPAYA CITYCARGO LAUNCHES TWO-WHEELER DELIVERY SERVICES IN KATHMANDU THROUGH UKAID सीप’S SUPPORT

Upaya: CityCargo, in partnership with the UKaid Skills for Employment (सीप) Programme, has launched its two-wheeler delivery service, publicly, in Kathmandu Valley and Pokhara, and will soon extend to Butwal/Bhairahawa. After successful expansion in the four-wheeler market segment, Upaya has now formally entered the two-wheeler segment. This will help it better service small and growing businesses, including those fueled by e-commerce and social media.

Upaya’s partnership with सीप is designed to accelerate and strengthen its digitally powered intervention to spur growth of e-commerce and address systemic logistics gaps in the supply chains for various sectors (like agriculture and manufacturing) by building digitally literate workers and transformin self-employment pathways for drivers and farmers. With सीप’s support, Upaya will be training 2,000 driver/rider partners focusing on digital literacy, e-banking, customer care services, in bid to create more creating self-employment in the delivery service sector.

The launch of Upaya’s two-wheeler segment has received extensive media coverage.
